There’s something about October. The air has just enough crispness to wake you up, and the trees trade their greens for golds that never last long enough. Our son loves to run through the leaves, laughing at the crunch beneath his feet — it’s one of those small joys that somehow fills my whole heart.
This season always reminds me of how wonderful the world is. I find myself slowing down, watching the light disappear earlier each evening, craving warm mugs and quiet drives. Travelling has always been one of my favourite ways to see beauty — the kind that reminds you how big and full the world can be — but lately, it’s these moments close to home that feel the most special.
I feel endlessly thankful for the family we’ve built, and for the extended family and friends who continue to show up for us. Life feels full right now — full of gratitude, laughter, and small sweet things that make this time of year feel like home.
And maybe that’s what Thanksgiving is really about — taking time to notice what’s already here. The comfort of a meal shared, the warmth of good company, the warmth that lingers long after. It’s the same feeling we hope to wrap into every box — a little reminder to slow down, savour, and give thanks for the beauty right in front of us.
